Enhanced Evaluation ServiceThe Enhanced Evaluation Service (EES) is a deluxe paper grading service. Those enrolled may submit up to 12 papers per quarter to be reviewed by an EES Evaluator. The service helps parents who are looking for guidance in grading longer writing assignments such as book reports and compositions. However, those wishing to submit tests in Math, Science or any of the core subject areas may find the EES service useful as well. The EES evaluation includes corrections and comments written directly on each paper, a full assessment form addressing areas that need improvement, and a grade determination. Parents wishing to see the kinds of corrections made and comments given can find a corrected sample by clicking on this link. In keeping with Kolbe’s commitment to the principle of subsidiarity, the grade is a suggested grade. Parents are free to adjust the grade in keeping with their more complete knowledge of the student. Parents may elect to sign up for 1-4 quarters of EES in a single academic year. Those enrolled for a single course at Kolbe may sign up for EES for that course. At the time of registration, parents registering for the EES service receive an EES Welcome Packet that includes general guidelines, an interview form, and submission forms. After returning the interview form, which covers scholastic concerns for the student and parental goals for the service, an EES Evaluator is assigned. The EES Evaluator will work with the parent and student for the duration of the EES enrollment. In addition, the assigned EES Evaluator will send the families to which he has been assigned a separate welcome letter and packet. This packet will include information on what he looks for in a paper and his contact information. He will also include information on submitting EES assignments by mail or email. The Enhanced Evaluation Service has been very well received by parents. Families sign up for EES because it
