Intro to Science

While any student could enroll in this class, it is aimed at students who will be enrolling in IPC (Intro to Physics and Chem) course in the fall or high school transfer students preparing for Biology or Chemistry in the fall.  

Course Description

The course will cover topics such as scientific measurements, significant figures, basic data analysis and interpretation, unit analysis and conversion, scientific notation, and writing lab reports.

Academic Workshop

Academic workshop classes will include mostly in-class work with some outside reading and/or homework. Academic workshop classes are Pass/Fail and are added to a student's transcript/report card only by request of the parent after the class is complete. High school workshops will receive 2.5 credits and will receive the OS (Kolbe Summer Course) designation on the Kolbe transcript. Academic workshop classes are limited to a 20 student enrollment maximum.
